Verandas Beach House Wedding | Julie + Andrew

Julie and Andrew wanted traditional backyard wedding with a touch of rustic romance and beach paradise. Their Verandas Beach House Wedding was the perfect mix of those themes and we love how they styled their big day. Julie and Andrew met at a mutual friend’s party and started their relationship as friends. One thing led to another and they found the friendship had bloomed into something more. After deciding that there was no question whether they wanted to be together forever Andrew set out to propose. “One day Andy took me out to dinner at our favorite spot. It’s walking distance from our place and after a beautiful dinner he suggested we stroll down the beach instead of walking straight home. I always joke with him in romantic moments and ask, ‘slow dance?’ but this time he got to it first. We were walking along the beach and he stopped and asked, ‘slow dance?’ then got down on one knee and said ‘or will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?’ Of course I cried and said yes!” 

These two are perfect for each other and their proposal story is indicative of just how much they value spending time together. Julie and Andrew both love to eat and also love to be active. A typical weekend will have a trip to the gym or a different active outdoor activity and then finding a fun restaurant or staying home to cook some delicious food. They love the beach, riding bikes, running, going to see live music, or just spending time together outdoors. Their love of life and bonding is contagious and we loved getting to capture all of the special moments of their wedding day.
