May and Gilles are joyful, relaxed, and adorable! These three words can only mean one thing: their Urban Los Angeles Engagement photos are going to be incredible! We love getting to photograph couples that feel so relaxed with each other while we capture their photos. They first met in Las Vegas. Gilles was still living in Belgium at the time, but had come to the states on a holiday with friends and May was there for a birthday weekend. They were both at the same club, but did not meet until the end of the night. If we flash forward to July 10, 2017 we find Gilles just coming home from Belgium. That night May and Gilles took their dog, Chewy, and grabbed dinner at the Standing Room in Hermosa Beach. The sun was setting and Gilles was determined to catch the sunset on the pier. They ran to catch the light, but Chewy decided he needed a potty break twice before they arrived. May and Gilles just barely missed the sunset but still caught the light on the pier. Gilles wanted a picture of May on the pier so he told her to grab Chewy and run over. We will let May take it from here: “When I had Chewy, Gilles told me that Chewy had something for me and then I knew. I excitedly looked around, including in Chewy’s mouth, and found the ring connected to his collar. Gilles got down on his knee, and started to speak, and of course I said Yes!”
“We love to travel, eat, spend time with family, go to the beach, and spend time at home. We love to have a good time and experience new things. We are very excited about our upcoming nuptials!!” May and Gilles will have their family and friends in the same country for a very special event and we cannot wait to have Figlewicz Photo there to capture every moment of their La Venta Inn wedding.
