McKenna and Mark’s Rat Beach Engagement is making us fall in love with the South Bay all over again! The lighting was incredible during their engagement session and these two are so in love. It is a joy to see a couple who has fallen head over heels for each other and Stacee did an incredible job capturing this love at one of our favorite spots. They first met during a camping trip in San Onofre, but Mark was taken at the time. About a year later McKenna’s friend invited her to a BBQ that Mark was hosting and it ended up being a set up that neither of them saw coming. They hit it off and the rest is history!
McKenna told us their proposal story and we want you to hear it directly from her! “One of our favorite things to do is ride around on a Suzuki bike at Lake Nacimiento. We go there several times a year and stay at his family’s lake house. We have a beautiful spot we always ride to and it overlooks the lake. We go there every time we visit but this time was special. The day after Thanksgiving I could tell Mark was acting a little strange. He was having me sit and stand in specific places but I didn’t read too much into that. When he asked me to stand on a specific rock I knew something was up…he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said YES! Luckily he hid his go-pro in the bushes and we have the entire proposal on video that we can watch over and over! There are a ton of things that brought us here, but we think one of the most important things that made us want to get married is our companionship. We truly feel we can get through anything and support each other no matter what.”
