Center for the Arts Eagle Rock Wedding | Kelly + Eddie

We have a Center for the Arts Eagle Rock Wedding for you today! Dan captured Kelly and Eddie’s big day that featured a beautiful combination of urban, casual, and DIY elements to bring their wedding dream to life. Kelly and Eddie were introduced by a mutual friend during lunch recess their freshman year of high school and have been together ever since! “We share a long history that comes with a lot of inside jokes that nobody else gets but us. We like that we are genuinely kind to one another, but don’t hesitate to laugh at each other too. Eddie and I will be 3 months away from their 14th anniversary on our wedding day and we are so excited to make it official!” 

Their engagement story takes place on a 4-night camping trip to Death Valley. On the last night of the trip they went to gaze at the stars at the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. Eddie brought his camera to grab some photos of the stars and he asked Kelly to help him by holding up a flashlight to create a beam of light as an added feature in the photo. Kelly was facing away from him and after about 5 minutes of holding up the flashlight Eddie said he had gotten the perfect photo. She turned around and once her eyes adjusted to the night sky she could see Eddie on one knee with a ring and he asked her to marry him. They were completely alone in the middle of a sand dune and it was the perfect moment to decide to spend the rest of their lives together. Now that the wedding planning is complete you will likely find Kelly and Eddie back at their favorite activities. They love hiking, camping, trying new breweries, exploring LA, or enjoying a quiet night at home with a good movie. We are so glad the Figlewicz Photography team was able to be part of this day and we wish these two the best as they head into a new season of marriage.
