Palos Verdes Beach Club Engagement | Courtney + Mike

Engagement

We have some high school sweethearts to introduce to you in today’s Palos Verdes Beach Club engagement blog! “Now, some of you might be hoping for a ‘love at first sight’ story, but we’re afraid we have to let you down. The first time we met was brief and let’s just say Mike wasn’t as suave as he thought it was. It wasn’t until two years later where we met again in a tennis class. We quickly became inseparable after that point, and the rest is history!”

Courtney and Mike often refer to each other as “puzzle piece” because they knew soon after they started dating that they were a perfect fit. “After 7 years we realized how much our love for each other continued to grow through all of life’s obstacles and for us it was clear that our bond was unbreakable. We both could never imagine the rest of our lives without one another and that is why we are getting married!”

Mike had the engagement ring for a few months before he proposed to Courtney. The ring began to burn a hole in his pocket so he proposed a little earlier than he had originally planned. His sister was visiting from the East Coast so he planned a “going away party” towards the end of her trip and invited their friends and families over. On the morning of the party, Mike suggested he and Courtney take a hike by the cliffs of Palos Verdes. Courtney was stunned when Mike asked her to marry him while they were at their special lookout spot on the cliffs. After their time on the hike, our newly-engaged couple made their way to the party and waited until about half-way through the festivites to share their good news. “We were so fortunate to be surrounded by those who have loved and supported us for so many years.”
