I can’t believe we finally got our family photos done. Casey and I have been talking about it for over two years. After searching blog after blog, we came across The Youngrens. Their work speaks for itself and we were so excited to book a session with them. For those of you who have kids, you know the panic I was in the night before trying to figure out outfits and different props to bring. Yes I said the night before… you all know I am the queen of procrastination. I was even in Target the night before buying the kids new clothes. I am so happy with how it all came together.
These photos reflect eight years of marriage, a lot of life, a lot of fights, a lot of making up… that’s how we have four kids! A lot of tears, joy, and so many amazing things along the way. I remember meeting with our pastor Bill MacPhee before we got married and he asked us to define marriage. I said a journey together. And that is exactly what it has been. It has been so hard at times, we miss you Taylor! God has taken us places we never could have imaged and places we would not have chosen. But the journey together has strengthened our love for our kids, each other, everyone in our life, and our love for Jesus.
At one point during the photo shoot Jeff told us to look at each other and remember why we got married and how blessed we were to be together. I almost lost it and my makeup too. God has a funny way of putting people together. Of course I love Casey so much… but the real reason we are together is because 10 years ago God decided it was time for us to meet. And that it was time for His plan of us together to be set in motion. I am so blessed by my family and the plan God had for me. I don’t know how the rest of our story goes, but I am confident in the truth that He will carry us through it all.
