HURLEY PRO SURF CONTEST | TRESTLES, CA

As you all know by now I love surfing! I have always wanted to go to the Hurley Pro WCT Trestles contest but I was working full time and couldn’t get the time off, but now that I’m the boss I knew it was on my list of things to do this year and it was so worth it! Not only was the contest awesome but the surf was pumping. The only reason I wasn’t surfing myself, was because I developed surfer’s earand had to have surgery earlier this summer. So here are some of my fav’s from the contest. Sorry there are so many but I just couldn’t narrow it down anymore.

Coolest thing about this contest is that I was right next to these guys hanging and talking with them. They are all so down to earth and humble. It was a really fun experience for me.

Most of you might not know where Trestles is, it’s a pretty remote location, but somehow the crew at Hurley were able to hook the guys up with warm showers! Must be nice.

Here’s my buddy John Eckimer. He has taught me so much about photography. We met back when I was in high school. He used to come to Burnout all the time in the 90’s when the surf was pumping and take pictures of me and my friends. Any guy that can shoot good pictures and eat a breakfast burrito at the same time is all right in my book 🙂
