THE PORTOFINO HOTEL & YACHT CLUB | HEIDI + JOEY | REDONDO BEACH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS

Just like so many of our other clients, we first met Heidi and Joey here at ‘The Figgle Home ‘.  Half way through the meeting my sister Cari came out of her bedroom, walked through the hall quietly, but then did a double take and said, “HEIDI!”  Turns out Heidi and Cari work together at a preschool in Palos Verdes.   The South Bay is a small world so we ended up knowing a lot of each others friends.  The funniest moment of the meeting was when they were looking through one of our albums and Joey said, “hey that’s my son!” No seriously it’s a long story but his son is the nephew of one of our past clients (Michelle and Kevin).  So there was no pressure at all to book with us! Haha! Luckily Heidi and Joey did book with us and we were super excited.

Their wedding was at The Portofino Hotel & Yacht Club in Redondo Beach.  This is the perfect venue for an intimate wedding and you get the ocean but you don’t have to deal with sand. Their ceremony was hilarious… it was hard to find a photo during the ceremony where Heidi wasn’t laughing her head off.  I think it a new trend for officiants to actually be comedians! I love it! Weddings should be fun! Like always they were surrounded by awesome friends and family.  My favorite part was when they exited the ceremony and included Ryan. He was SO excited!
