We shot Michelle and John’s engagement photos over in Pasadena, and there were a ton of great locations to shoot! Michelle and John had a lot of fun doing their engagement photos because they both really understand each other. They react to each others body languages and can anticipate what the other one is about to do. I guess that just comes with the territory when you have been dating for over 13 years! That’s right, you read that correct, 13 years! That is a heck of a long time to get to know someone inside and out, and Michelle and John certainly do!
I love it when a couple that has been together for so long decides to get married. It’s taking their relationship to whole new, and uncharted level. It’s not like they haven’t been in love with each other this whole time though, they said they always knew they were going to get married. It wasn’t a question of “if,” it was really just a matter of “when.” I like that! And I like that they decided “when” would be right now!
Michelle and John met 14 years ago (wow!) in an AOL chat room. SAY WHAT?!?! Yep, but for those of you who don’t remember 14 years ago, AOL chat rooms were a hot spot for meeting people. It seems like forever ago what with all these changes in technology, but yes, back in 1998, before Facebook and Eharmony, there was a little thing we liked to call America Online (I’m having flashbacks to the movie “You’ve Got Mail”). That’s such a unique story that they get to tell people! I love it. 14 years later and look at them now!
John proposed to Michelle at Geoffrey’s Restaurant in Malibu. They were out to dinner celebrating their 13th anniversary when Michelle got her dessert plate with “Will you marry me?” written on it!
