Palos Verdes Golf Club Wedding | Megan + Joey

We first met Megan and Joey when Stacee photographed their engagement session and we fell in love with these two! Their Palos Verdes Golf Club Wedding, also captured by Stacee, was beautiful and had a glamorous, traditional feel throughout the whole day. Megan’s dress and bouquet brought her whole look together and we loved the soft details they had in the reception and ceremony decor. When we asked Megan and Joey what they were most looking forward to on their big day they say “Everything! The ceremony, dancing, the whole day!” As South Bay high school sweethearts, their first date was a picnic at Redondo Beach where they ate pizza and watched the sunset. The proposal took place at the same location as this pizza date and we can only imagine how special that moment was. 

“Over the years our love undeniably grew deeper and deeper. It is extremely apparent that we both compliment each other completely. We couldn’t possibly picture our lives without one another and most importantly, we are best friends. It was when Joey moved to San Francisco for a year-long medical internship after dating for five years that we realized how much we truly loved and missed each other’s presence. He proposed the month he came back home.”

Megan loves Joey’s nurturing and loving personality, selfless character, and his desire to always work hard in anything that he does. Joey loves Megan’s outspoken voice, thoughtful personality, and driven attitude (He also told us that it helps that she is extremely gorgeous!). Their favorite hobbies consist of watching movies, going on hikes, wakeboarding, water skiing, snowboarding, and snow skiing in Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. They also love to work out together and traveling to new and exciting places. We are so glad the Figlewicz Team was able to be part of this wedding day and we hope you enjoy Megan and Joey’s wedding day story.
