Palos Verdes Beach Engagements are always really memorable and fun, the scenery is spectacular and dramatic and varied, you can be in a forest, on a craggy cliff and then on a sandy beach, and it’s all within a 10 minute walk. Kia & Matt were so much fun to capture their engagement photos in a couple different locations. Here are couple of pointers for you lovebird when you are going to go have your engagement photos taken. I don’t want to give away the secret sauce here but I think it’s worth mentioning (heck, it might even be obvious) but here it is… Even though it’s common to go to a couple locations during your professional engagement photo session, I recommend taking full advantage of each location change. We are blessed to have some of the most beautiful and majestic locations right here in Los Angeles (specifically Palos Verdes) but my advice is to really take advantage of those different locations and doing that by dressing different for each location. In the professional engagement photo session we did with Kia & Matt you will see a great example of maximizing the locations. The first set are really all about being whimsical, playful and natural. The second set, while only just down the street have an entirely different look and feel. Kia & Matt have transformed from “fun-loving woodsy couple” to “debonaire and elegant”. It’s almost as though they’ve spent the day in Napa wine tasting and now they are settling in for a picnic overlooking the cliffs of the Northern California coastline (and yet it’s all right here in Palos Verdes). Then it’s down to the sandy beach that somehow beckons to classic Hollywood. The images, the fashion, and our framing of the moments just simply remind me of classic moments in cinema. Not really any moment specifically but just a general emotion and memories of great movie love stories from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. Maybe it’s Matt’s mustache… yeah never mind it’s just Matt’s mustache. All kidding aside, Kia & Matt really did take advantage of their time with us and the moments we captured are stunning and memorable.
Be Blessed.
