Edith and Casey got married at the L.A. River Center, a venue which we have never been to, and were excited to get to see for the first time. Let me tell you, this place was awesome! It helps that we got to shoot such and awesome couple there too. For those of you who, like us, had never heard of this place before, the L.A. River Center is a museum, basically about how L.A. tamed the river. It’s a hidden gem off of the 110 freeway that transforms into a plush, garden oasis. It almost feels like it’s a cross between a castle and an old mission (if you can even imagine). When you walk in there is a gigantic, gorgeous tree behind the ivy stained walls. It was such a great spot – especially for Edith and Casey’s MASSIVE 300 guest wedding!
What we loved about Edith and Casey’s wedding (well, there was actually SO MUCH we loved about their wedding), but it seemed like both Edith and Casey were so eagerly anticipating getting to see each other before the wedding. They both were a little anxious to get to that moment, which made it that much sweeter when it happened! I love this shot of Casey, taking in some deep breaths as he waited patiently to get to see Edith. Once they were together, it was like they could take on anything in the world.
Casey had TONS of groomsmen (okay, not tons, but 12) and they were all good guys. They were fun and rowdy, to be sure, but they were also all very respectful and happy for Edith and Casey. We got along great with all of them!
The whole wedding was set up in a beautiful, open courtyard which was packed with color and excitement!
Stay tuned for Part 2 of Edith and Casey’s big day!
