La Venta Inn | Palos Verdes Wedding | Kimberly + Herman Part 1

Weddings

Kimberly and Herman had an awesome wedding at the beautiful La Venta Inn.  Kimberly had originally wanted to have a backyard wedding but they could not find the perfect spot.  Then they stumbled upon the La Venta Inn and she instantly fell in love.  It had a backyard type feel, but also the gorgeous view of where they live now.  This was everything she wanted because she had a ton of guests flying in from the east coast and she wanted to give them an opportunity to see a glimpse of her new life here with Herman!  It was the ideal location.  What was even better was that at the rehearsal there was a ton of wind which made Kimberly and Herman nervous.  However, the wedding day weather was perfect!  No wind, warm, and blue skies all night long (gotta love Southern California!).

Kimberly, you are gorgeous and your smiles are contagious!

The maid of honor was a friend of Kimberly’s since they were babies.

Herman’s friends did all the video footage on the day of the wedding.   Their friend (whom they called “Little Herman”) wanted to interview the two of them separately before their first look.  When he interviewed Kimberly, he asked her about when she fell in love with Herman.  She was explaining how she fell in love with him at a family gathering and watching him be so fun and playful with all of the children there.  As she was describing this moment on camera, she started crying!

Your attack of the giggles/crying was awesome!Herman’s tie has a really special story behind it.  It was from 10 years ago from a semi formal event that he and Kimberly were supposed to go to together.  However, Herman never ended up making it to the event because his car broke down that night.  Kimberly never got to see him in it, so he wanted to wear it at the wedding.  Because the styles of ties have changed over the years, his mom tailored it to fit a more current style.  It looked great and Kimberly finally got to see him wearing it!I’m glad you guys had so much fun on your wedding day! This was amazing!Kimberly’s best friend’s husband married them. 10 years ago the four of them went on a double date and none of them had any idea that they would all end up getting married!

Part 2 of the wedding will be coming shortly!!!!
