It’s what you’ve all been waiting for! Kaitlin and Ted’s wedding blog is finally here! And what an amazing wedding it was…we all got to escape away from the South Bay and up into beautiful Camarillo for the weekend, and man, was it gorgeous! But if we’re talking about gorgeous, not even this stunning California sunshine could “out do” how pretty Kaitlin looked on her wedding day. In Ted’s words, “she was perfect.” Brace yourselves for this wedding, it was one for the books! Both Kaitlin and Ted are so special to us, and we loved getting to be there with them for this big day. Kaitlin, I know we have been talking about your wedding for a while now, and getting to be taking the photos OF you instead of WITH you was so fun for us! You two are surrounded by THE BEST family and friends anyone could ask for. We hope you felt the love on January 12th 2012!
There is a funny story about this interesting (ehmm…) garter. Ted bought a skateboard a couple of years ago and the garter came on the skateboard (which is weird…I realize). So he just took it off and tossed it to Kaitlin and said, here, you can wear this at your wedding one day. Ted forgot all about it, but Kaitlin kept it thinking it would be funny to actually have it the day of the wedding. Surprise! Here it is!
During Ted and Kaitlin’s first look, the bridal party was watching from a distance. We found out later that the limo full of Ted’s groomsmen didn’t have a dry eye when Ted turned around and saw Kaitlin for the first time. It’s pretty funny because Ted and Kaitlin weren’t even crying!
Casey and I just love this wedding party. Almost all of these people grew up together and have such fun, strong, life long memories. We have watched them all grow into adults and become such amazing people. Casey can remember taking a bunch of these guys (and girls) surfing for the first time when they were in jr. high! It’s so neat for us to see them growing up, getting married, and still just as close as they were when they were young. SO FUN!
We are going to break here before we get into Part 2 at the Las Posas Country Club reception. Stay tuned folks, it will be coming shortly…we promise!
