“TJ was friends with my cousin. He saw a picture of me at my grandma’s house and asked my grandma for my number. Grandma was a big TJ fan, so she pushed me to out with him. We got along really well from the beginning. We could talk for hours! TJ told me he was going to marry me one day within the first couple of weeks…8 years later, here we are!”
…and their engagement story (because it is adorable!):
“TJ told me that he wanted to go to a state park to go canoeing. I always wanted to be the “outdoors couple,” so I was really excited. Before we left, I told TJ I was bringing a change of clothes because I tend to tip canoes. Having the ring in his pocket, TJ panicked and changed our plans to a hike! We hiked down to a little isolated area that overlooked a part of the lake with thousands of lily pads. He got down on one knee and proposed. It was emotional and loving and perfect!”
