Nadia and Joe had an adorable rainy day Palos Verdes engagement session and we are so excited to share it with you. They met at their church’s community group leader retreat. Throughout the event they had the chance to get to know each other and that is where the magic began! When the time came to propose, Joe planned on December 17th because it was the perfect date to fit in with Nadia’s birthday and the holidays. His plan changed a little when on the morning of Nadia’s birthday Joe received a text from his soon-to-be fiancé that she wanted to go to her favorite beach (where he was going to propose just a few days later!!!). He decided to change the plan and propose on her birthday. Joe planned for one of his best friends to capture the big moment and he was ready and waiting for Nadia and Joe to walk past him. We will let Joe take it from here: “I thought Nadia wouldn’t notice him but as we passed him Nadia came to a dead stop, turns to stare at Brian and asks, “Joe, is that your friend Brian? That really looks like him!” We were both laughing and I was trying to keep her mind off of it by asking her questions about other things. I finally found an empty spot before the private beach ends and I told her that I had a real birthday gift for her later, but I wanted to give her a teaser gift on the beach. I pulled a small gift bag out of my backpack and gave it to her. Inside was a wrapped Russian nesting doll and I told her to open it all the way to the inside. While she was distracted opening the gift, I reached into my backpack, grabbed the ring box, kept my jacket draped over my arm to hide it, and then I walked from her front around to her back. She didn’t notice anything and once she finally got to the last layer, in the center was a tightly wrapped piece of paper. Once she finally unrolled it, it said “Turn Around.” She turned around to me and I went on my knees to propose to her.”
