Point Vicente Interpretive Center Wedding | Palos Verdes | Lisa & Paul

Stacee did an incredible job capturing Lisa and Paul’s Point Vicente Interpretive Center wedding!! This couple was so excited to tie the knot and we were honored to have the Figlewicz Photo team at this event. We love Lisa and Paul’s story so we will let them fill you in on the details:

“We met the first time through a mutual friend, Lisa’s bridesmaid Lauren, while in college. We only became acquaintances at this point but would often run into each other around campus. A few years later we started playing softball together and began to spend more time together. Lisa joined Paul’s friends at their weekly bar night, and from there she found him incredibly dense and clueless to the hints she started laying down. After a few months of growing closer through softball and going to the bar, Paul finally figured it out!”

Now for their engagement story!!

Neither of us are great planners, so it’s not surprising that Paul didn’t plan this out much, either. It all came together on a Sunday morning whim on July 24, 2016. Paul already had the ring, but didn’t know how to propose. On that Sunday morning, he suggested a picnic at the South Coast Botanical Garden. We packed up lunches and ventured out. After our picnic, we walked around the gardens. Upon finding a shady spot under some tall palm trees, Paul started to make his move. Then Lisa got distracted by a lizard and started following it away. Paul didn’t let up though, dropped to one knee, got her attention, and asked her to marry him. She said yes!”

From Paul: “Lisa likes my (bad) jokes. She is smart, caring, and kind. She is compassionate and considerate. She keeps me laughing, having fun, and keeps me young.”

From Lisa: “Paul makes me laugh and smile all day and night. He can take a dull day and make it the best day ever! He is the smartest and sweetest man I know. Every day with Paul is an adventure!”
