Lisa and Joel met through an online dating website. The way they tell it, they didn’t believe in online dating but friends convinced them to make accounts. They wrote each other for a few months before first meeting in September of 2011 and decided to “try this thing out” after dating for a few months. Fast forward 4 years to August of 2015 and you would find Lisa and Joel on vacation in El Nido, Philippines. They stayed at a resort that was stationed in a half-moon cove with a pier stretching out into the middle of the cove. Each couple was scheduled to take photos on the end of the pier and when it was Joel and Lisa’s turn he got down one knee and proposed while bring seranaded by the resort staff. This sounds like a magical moment and we are very impressed with Joel’s planning! “Although we dated for over 4 years before the proposal, marriage was always something we both talked about since the beginning. Even before we met, we both wanted to find that one person that would match our values and interests.
