Shaunci and Cody’s romantic Joshua Tree Engagement is not only gorgeous, but was also a ton of fun to capture! These two met in 2014 at work, but did not officially start dating until mid 2016. They developed a strong friendship and felt ready to let their relationship bloom! “The best part about us beginning to date is that we are already such good friends and had created a foundation so getting into a romantic relationship seemed so easy!”
Their engagement happened on a trip to Japan…so fun!! Cody was so well prepared and had planned this proposal, and their wedding, perfectly! “We had just arrived in Kyoto, Japan the night before and was ready to explore. Our first stop on the itinerary was the Daigo-Ji Temple, so we began out trek through the grounds. As we approached the temple, we were at awe of how stunning the fall foliage and vibrate temple was. Our best friends were with us who insisted we take some photos on the bridge. As usual, Cody moaned about having to take pictures. Little did I know, this was all part of the plan. Once on the bridge, Cody leaned in to hug me and whispered how beautiful it was but not nearly as beautiful as I would be on November 7th of next year. I was confused at his statement but shocked as he began to get on one knee. A bunch of sweet words, ugly crying and happy tears followed. It was such a special and wonderful moment- one that both of us will forever treasure. This happened on November 7, 2018- exactly one year prior to our wedding date. Shortly after Cody proposed, he also informed me that he had already booked a venue and date for November 7 2019 at South Coast Botanical Gardens!”
We are so excited for their South Coast Botanical Gardens wedding coming later this year!!
