When we first met Jamie and Brett it was at our house and I think our kids might have been running around too. They were super nice and relaxed… our kind of people you know. I was so sad that I didn’t get to shoot their wedding with Casey. I was just a little pregnant with Carly, like 8 months pregnant…so I had to take a break for a while. Casey asked Heather Doleshel to fill in for me. The pictures are so fun, and you can totally see how much they love being with each other. Jamie and Brett tied the knot at the Summit House in Fullerton, CA. Here’s part one of their question and answer time and part one of their wedding.
Q: How did you meet?
A: I was a student athletic trainer at CSULB. I had to do my football training hours at Cerritos College where Brett played. After 10 weeks of football he invited me to a team party where he confessed his feelings for me.
Q: When and how did he pop the question?
A: Brett proposed on Sunday March 22nd, 2009. He had been trying all weekend so on Sunday he picked me up and just drove… we ended up at the Santa Monica Pier. It was windy, cold, stormy… but perfect. He had the original copy of a poem he wrote me 3 years prior. On the back it read, “will you marry me?” Check Yes or No.
Q: What drew you together to consider marriage?
A: Our love for each other of course. God, family, we love to laugh, and we just clicked. There were never awkward moments or a time where we doubted our love for each other. Our family is #1 (after God) so we wanted to start one of our own.
