Kristy and Gilbert looking adorable under these trees as we explored Palos Verdes during their engagement session. They love each other, pure and simple, and are so excited to get married this summer! Engagement sessions are such a personal experience and we feel so blessed to have captured these two as they walk closer to marriage.
Their love story as told by Kristy: “I never thought I’d meet someone special online, but that’s how Gilbert and I met. Interesting enough, we actually went to the same undergrad and grad schools. He graduated just a year ahead of me from the same program! Upon meeting online, we wrote to each other for a few weeks and soon after that we met in person. The rest is history!”
The proposal happened on May 14, 2016 on a beach in Malibu. As they were walking along the shore Gilbert was taking pictures and videos with his GoPro. After their walk they sat on a blanket and talked for a bit, but little did Kristy know that Gilbert had turned on his GoPro to record the proposal. Kristy later learned that Gilbert had reset his GoPro so the red recording light would not illuminate when he turned it on…way to think through the details Gilbert!! He got up from his seat and turned around to propose to Kristy. She said yes and they enjoyed a picnic and beautiful sunset to celebrate their engagement.
